Hospitals: St. Marys' Hospital in Grand Junction. State-of-the-art, regional hospital located 60 minutes from Cedaredge. Delta County Memorial Hospital. Excellent county hospital 15 minutes from Cedaredge. Montrose Memorial Hospital located in Montrose, 45 minutes from Cedaredge.

Real Estate: Overall the state of Colorado is more expensive than other parts of the country. Though real estate in Cedaredge Colorado and many of the surrounding communities nestled in mountain valleys, are considerably less than the major ski resort communities (Aspen, Snowmass, Telluride and Crested Butte) that are located around two hours away. Cedaredge gives you the opportunity of a mountain lifestyle with out the inflated price tag of a resort town and the snowy brutal winters. Wineries and Local/Organic Produce: Delta County is starting to get the reputation of a "Foodie Paradise". From Cedaredge, Hotchkiss and especially Paonia, we have a dozen wineries for tastings and tours. We are Colorado's Farmers market as much of the produce and organic produce from our county is shipped all over the state. Enjoy all the road side stands and purchase fruits and vegetables grown locally. Olathe Sweet Corn is considered some of the best in the nation. Cedaredge grows 7 seven different kinds of apples. Paonia cherries are heaven. Tomatoes are eaten like apples and not the waxy tastless variety that you find in the big chain grocery store. Recent articles in the Denver Post and and the Aspen Times have recently commented on this trend.

Wineries: in  the Cedaredge area we have Stoney Mesa Winery, Surface Creek Winery and Jack Rabbit Hill. Hotchiss and Paonia areas host Leroux Creek, Black Bridge, Auzura, Stone Cottage Cellars, Terror Creek, Alfred Ames and several more in the Olathe.

Grocery Stores: Cedaredge-The Cedaredge Mercantile. Delta-City Market and Safeway. Montrose-two City Markets (one gourment store), Safeway and Vitamin Cottage (organic).

Recreation: The following are some of the outdoor activities on the western slope -biking, hiking, rafting, four wheeling, fishing, boating, nordic & downhill skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, horseback riding, golfing, etc. For indoor recreationists, the incredible Bill Heddles Recreation Center has two indoor pools, hot tub, raquet ball courts, aerobic room, fitness classes, exercise equipment room, weight room, basketball/volley courts, outdoor lake, running track, outdoor tennis courts. Primary recreation areas are: The West Elks Wilderness, Grand Mesa National Forest, Dominguez/Escalante Wilderness Area and The Black Canyon of the Gunnison Wilderness and Conservation Area.

Restaurants: Cedaredge has several "mom and pop" breakfast and lunch places. For dinner Wildfire Pizza at Deer Creek located on the golf course; RJ's Steak House, fish, steak, ribs. Delta has Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Buffet, Steak and Burger joints plus fast food. Montrose has Continental, Asian, Chinese, Steak Houses, Italian and Indian Restaurants. Grand Junction also has a myriad of restaurants from shushi to steak houses.
